Our company completed the demolition and replacement of an existing public swimming pool and support facilities for the East Bay Regional Parks District at the Roberts Regional Recreation area. The pool and all support facilities were upsized and modernized. Three new buildings were constructed, a pool house, a pump house, and a ticket booth at the entrance to the facilities. The pool house included changing rooms, restrooms, and a breakroom/office for the pool operators and lifeguards. The pump house contains the mechanical and chemical treatment systems for the pool. The infrastructure for the electrical and water supplies were upsized to accommodate the modernized facilities. The sanitary septic system was improved, and a new dedicated leach field was installed to receive the backwash water from the pool mechanical systems. The size of the parking lot was increased, and additional ADA parking was added. The areas surrounding the pool facilities were improved with retaining walls, landscaping, and irrigation systems that help blend the facilities into the redwood forest setting.
